Sporting Images Digital Marketing Project

Sporting Images is reaching new audiences with targeted and professional digital marketing services

Sporting Images is a specialise corporate branding and gifting company that prides itself on superior quality in a tough industry. They had a website that they were satisfied with, but did not meet their image that had evolved through the years. Savvy Sprout designed their previous website and maintained the relationship throughout the years – making the decision even easier to allow us to update their website in line with their vision and brand expansion plans.

When asked about the reason for the update, Mellanie Jenkins, owner of Sporting Images says “we were happy with our previous website, but we need to upgrade to a version of the website that was modern and that our visitors could relate to. The design brief was everything that we wanted and Savvy Sprout had not issues implementing the brief and capturing the essence of our brand.” Due to the long standing relationship, Savvy Sprout understood the Sporting Images business very well and we were given a lot of freedom to design something we felt would work for their business. With some guidance from the Sporting Images team we were able to reach a layout and design that everyone was happy with.

One of the key requirements for the new design was that the website needed to be simple to navigate with easy points of contacts. The other key requirement was that the website had to be responsive and adjust according to the size of the screen their visitors were using. “We have had fabulous feedback from our clients and we have got a lot of enquiries that have translated into new deals. This is an indicator that our new website is working well and delivering the results we were looking for. Our website now displays beautifully on mobile devices – something our previous website was not able to do/”

Sporting Images wanted to create a more social brand

Sporing Images has historically tried to do everything themselves to save on costs. As with most smaller and/or growing business that come to us, the day to day management and creative thinking required to constantly create new content and engage with followers is challenging – not to mention fitting in all the daily requirements that go along with getting their clients jobs completed. The Sporting Images first consulted another Social Media Marketing agency in Cape Town but had little success. Their was a sufficient flow of weekly posts onto their page, but the reach, interaction and enquiry rate did not meet expectations. That is when Sporting Images approved Savvy Sprout to maintain their social media management.

Having worked with the Sporting Images team in the past for our own branding and corporate gifts, as well for our clients, we had a very good understanding of their business and a strong working relationship with Mellanie. After spending some time with the client we were able to establish a clear goal with a defined target audience using a content plan that was diverse, yet specific enough to entice interaction. We also took Sporting Images through some of the most common social media terms and abbreviations so that they knew how to handle any conversation that took place over their social media profiles.

“The team at Savvy Sprout is skilled, highly creative and very understanding of what our needs and requirements were. We have received a steady flow of compliments from from our clients and prospects about our website and we have also received numerous enquiries that have lead to new clients coming on board through our company Facebook page. The ongoing maintenance of our social media is now left completely to them, which means we have more time to focus on fulfilling our client orders and closing the new deals that come through our digital channels. The website upgrade and active social media management campaign has also helped us create a reputable brand that is easily recognisable and is relatable. We would definitely recommend Savvy Sprout to any business looking to increase their branding footprint, digital presence and lead generation,” concludes Jenkins.
